I became involved in Clemson LCM within my first week of Freshman Year. During my four years at Clemson, I ate weekly home-made dinners, attended weekend retreats, worked with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans, spent time with students from different backgrounds and courses of study, took two trips to Germany, worshiped with local residents of all ages, and learned a lot about myself and my faith. All of these things were possible because of Lutheran Campus Ministry. After I graduated last May, I began working as the Youth Ministry Director at St. John’s in Walhalla. Over the last year, I have found myself constantly relying on the knowledge I gained during my time in LCM. I can’t fully articulate how much LCM has meant to me, but I can say that I’m glad to have a small way to give back. I’m proud to say that I’m a Centurion Giver. I give 1% of my monthly paycheck to LCM, so that future students will have the opportunities that I was blessed to have, through Clemson’s Lutheran Ministry. Elizabeth Neal |
