On the evening of April 6, several LCMers packed up the van and went to the Pickens/Greenville Raceway. We picked up some KFC buckets of fried chicken and a couple boxes of biscuits on the way – the perfect racing food! This meal was particularly exciting for Callie, since she had never eaten chicken out of a bucket before. We were super excited to share this experience with her. Before the first race started, we were able to walk down onto the track and meet the drivers, look at the cars, etc. While PC was evaluating the cars and their motors and all of that, the girls were picking out their favorite driver. Unfortunately, the driver we picked did not win, but we still had a lot of fun cheering on the other drivers, too. There were 150 laps in the first race, so we had a lot of time to cheer. There were two races following the first one, but they were much shorter and had fewer cars. The whole race outing was so much fun!! We had a great turnout which made it even better. It was a super fun night of racing, fried chicken, and fellowship. Really, can you ask for much more? Gina Wessinger Comments are closed.
