The last Wednesday night of the semester, we enjoyed a home-cooked meal from Libby Hoyle, then partook in a Eucharist service. When all that was over, Pastor Chris called each graduating senior into the center of the group, and everyone placed their hands on the seniors while PC gave a blessing.
At the final Sunday worship service, the LCM Praise Band and Handbell Choir assisted in worship, which was very nice. My parents were in the congregation, along with the families of a few other graduating seniors. After Holy Communion, PC called all the seniors up to the front of the congregation, where we introduced ourselves, told our future plans, and what has meant the most to us as a part of LCM over the last few years. We received another blessing, then there was a congregational luncheon. I found both the Wednesday night and Sunday morning ceremonies to be very meaningful and uplifting, and I know that going forward I have the support of Pastor Chris, my fellow students, and the congregation of University Lutheran.
