Every Tuesday, we have a long debate about the kind of table we should choose for the Harcombe Lunch. We like round tables, where everyone can see everyone, and no one gets "stuck on the end."
But the round tables in Harcombe are seldom large enough for our whole group - so we sit at a rectangle table. This is a silly delimna - but it is one which exposes the tough decisions we make about being welcoming. Which is better? Sometimes there is no "best", but merely the one we chose. And we must always be prepared to recognize and admit the down-side of what ever choice we do make. Pastor Chris |
