This year, the LCM service team has organized and introduced new types of service projects and opportunities for students. One of these opportunities included spending time with some of the children of Miracle Hill Children’s Home in Pickens, South Carolina on November 14th. The Children’s home was founded in 1958 to care for neglected and abused children and provide them with mentoring and education within a Christian environment.
A small group of LCM students drove to Pickens for an afternoon of playing board games and sports outside with some of the young boys and girls of Miracle Hill. The boys enjoyed some competitive soccer and football games while the girls played volleyball and board games. Pictionary quickly became a favorite among the girls as they tested their artistic drawing abilities with their teammates. Overall, it was a great experience to be able to enjoy the fall sunshine and share God’s love with the youth at Miracle Hill Children’s Home. Jenna Washburn Comments are closed.
