Hiking is one of the activities that really relaxes me. After hiking through Oconee State Park with LCM, I found a new favorite relaxing trail. The trail was relatively easy, at least it seemed that way because we were all talking and enjoying each other’s company. Once we hiked halfway down the trail, we stopped at a natural overlook where the trees opened up to expose the Appalachian Mountains. After continuing down the trail, I was able to put my handy folding saw to the test. I had been bragging about this thing since the start of the trail, so I was stoked to be able to use it. Luckily it did not prove me wrong because it easily cleared the trail of the fallen log so that we could continue.
As we neared the end of the trail, the trees were getting greener and the views of the mountain grander. It was truly a beautiful sight to see and it was well worth the hike and time spent with my friends. -Russell Brinson Comments are closed.
