We had the LCM end of the year party last weekend on Saturday April 27th. We had originally planned to have the celebration at Y beach, but because of the rain we had to move the festivities to the church. Even though it was a dreary and rainy day we still had so much fun! This year we decided to mix it up and have a fish fry. The food was delicious - fried catfish, hush puppies, slaw, potato salad, and chips. Yum!
At the end of a very eventful and stressful year, it is always so nice to get together with good friends and spend some time relaxing before the week of final exams. People stood around and talked, caught up, and even met new friends. Although it was really rainy, we still went outside and played games, and also we played games inside: like Catchphrase, Taboo, and all kinds of card games.
As we were getting ready to be cooped up in the lounge, the library, or our apartments studying for finals, it was great to get together and appreciate the friendships we have made - whether in the past few weeks, or friendships from the past couple of years. It is these stressful times when we need friends the most, so the end of the year party could not have come at a better time!
